Wright CorvoI live in Austin, Texas. I was born and raised in Saint Louis Missouri though. I cut my first performing teeth as part of the "Grain-Belt" rock scene at Cicero's basement bar in U-City. That scene also produced a couple of pretty well known "Alt" country bands in the early 90's that are still doing well today. One of those singers became a pretty good band called "Wilco" the other equally talented fella's became "Son Volt". I used to drink in the same places and dream the same big dreams with all those folks. I haven't been on as many magazine covers as those two, but I've played all over the US and Europe, written and recorded and have had a fine time playing music and making friends through music. It has definatly been one of the highlights of my time here on earth.
I spent 10 years in San Francisco, engineering and producing bands at three of the finest recording studios in that town. Hyde Street Studios in the Tenderloin was home for a while. I had my first "office" there and I got to "entertain" George Clinton at 4-am once. Check my production credits page for samples of some GREAT music.
I've got two records out on the Ethic Recordings label.
I moved to Austin a year and a half ago from Hawaii. In Hawaii, I celebrated my career in musical obscurity by living and working on the most remote land source on the planet. It was a beautiful place to live though and I produced some amazing Hawaiian groups. I have an un-released record called "Kai One" sitting on my laptop that I produced down there. Not sure yet what to do with these "Lost" songs. Maybe if I get a free hour or two I'll put'em up here for sale. ???
I'm already gigging out and about in Austin with my fiddle player friend Chris Peterson. We've started a group called The Lost & Nameless Orchestra.
Check back for gig dates and release info and thanks for stopping buy. I hope you dig my stuff.
